AVOID SITTING IN ONE PLACE FOR TOO LONG
  • Continuous sitting or having the same posture causes peripheral pooling of blood in the soleus muscle sinuses. This blood getting collected and not being returned back into circulation causes a drop in blood pressure, temporary blackout in front of the eyes, sudden giddiness on standing from sitting position. It is good to keep moving and allow the calf muscles to contract well helping better functioning of the heart.
  • Also, continuous sitting causes stiffness and muscle strain from holding the same position. Same back and same neck angle at work stations leading to early fatigue, loss of concentration and reduced productivity. It is good to keep moving and approaching your work as a fresh angle every hour or so.
